(La dette c'est l’ennui)
الدين هم

- Yict n ufus bla yumas , ur ifettek akerras .
(Une seule main, si elle n'a pas sa sœur, quoi qu'elle fasse, n'ouvrira pas un double nœud)
يد واحدة، ما تحل الربطة

- Awal am udem n lbarud , ma yerg u- d- it wella .
(La parole, c'est comme un tir, elle ne revient jamais)
الكلمة كي وجه البارود ، إذا خرجت ما ترجع

- Yict yella netta yemmut , yict yemmut netta yella.
(L'un reste vivant après sa mort, l'autre est mort en étant vivant)
واحد حي هو ميت، واحد ميت هو حي (يعبر به عن الفرق بين الرجل الخامل الذكر، و الرجل الذي ملأ حياته عملا و نشاطا)

- Wa yettsen s ddu n trakna , yeqqar : « Imecta tehma »
(Celui qui dort sous une bonne couverture dit : « l'hiver est doux»)
اللي رقد تحت الزربية ، يقول الشتاء دافية

One can't utie a knot with one hand.

-Wa yettsen s ddu n trakna , yeqqar : « Imecta tehma »
He who sleeps under a good blanket, says : "winter is warm".
Perhaps something like : Walk a mile in someone else's shoes
Meaning : It's hard to understand someone else unless you've been in his/her position.

-Awal am udem n lbarud , ma yerg u- d- it wella
The word is like a bullet.
Meaning : Once you said something, you have no control over it.
The equivalent of the English saying, "you cannot un-ring a bell."

-Yict yella netta yemmut , yict yemmut netta yella
Life is not measured by the years one lives, but by the deeds he accomplishes.
